That was incredible! Just set off from Bilambil in the darkness on a gradual climb along a dirt road through the rainforest before an exhilarating descent to the Pilgrims' Road (yes, I did name it). A fast dash through the cane fields before climbing back up the ridge into the rainforest, twisting through the John Hogan Rainforest (who was he?), another sharp climb before a screaming descent back into Bilambil. Geez, so many stars out there! It was awesome to catch the gleam of my light on the rainforest which was really closing in during the narrow sections of Urliup Road (if the Tweed Shire Council ever seal that they must die!). Darkness also seems to make the canefields more pleasant, too.
About the only downside was that I finally discovered a limitation of that spanky digital camera that I bought last December (took me something in the order of 500 photos to figure that out). Unfortunately, this was about the best I could come up with tonight...
