Im trying to build my own bike for the first time. I ordered a 2008 black market riot, as i have a friend who has one and raves about it. I read on the black market website that this bike has a intigrated headset. What does this mean. I have already purchased a cane creek Aheadset (have one on my other bike and love it + its cheap :p) is this frame and headset compatible. Do i even need a headset?
thanks so much

You'll need a new headset - IS, Campy style, 36/45. Check out the Cane Creek IS-2i or IS-8i. Eastern Bikes offers them too and they're the cheapest option I know of.

can you explain the differance between the two types of headsets to me, and why they will work and the aheadset wont?
It has to to with the headtube on the frame you ordered a traditional (threadless) headset is pressed into the headtube. A frame designed for an integrated headset has a headtube shaped for the bearings to be placed inside... its just a matter of two different styles.

not except to set your crown race.
Actually even some crown races are split and can be installed with no tools... integrated headsets are easy.
