I need to know what the Front Derailleur specs are on a 2002 Gary Fisher Sugar 3+. I checked the Fisher website and looked at the picture but can't find the exact specs.

I can see it is an Deore LX on the spec. page and it looks like a top pull and I am pretty sure it is a 34.9mm clamp.

My problem is that my friend is shipping his to my house (I'm in GA and he is in AZ), before being detailed to my area for several months. It is his second bike and does not have a front derailleur on it. He has older XT M739 shifters on it. I told him I would get a FD for it and mount it so we could head out for a weekend trip directly from the airport. My LBS options are not great unless you need a beach cruiser. I got alot of blank looks when I asked the guy working today.

Thanks for the help.

Its a top pull, bottom swing in the picture. If you buy one of the "fit's all" derailleurs that come with shims to fit different tubes then you will have the right size for the seat tube no matter what.

Something like a Shimano XT M771

Or you could email Fisher. They would probably respond pretty quick.
