"50 miles on it original everything tires seat bar wrap you name it really nice shape paint is 9 out of 10" This is straight from the ad. If I go to look at this bike, what should I look for on this bike in particular? What kind of price would be reasonable? Thanks, Daniel

well...the first thing you should ask for is to see the odometer. How the heck does someone make a claim like that? That whine out of the way, you need to look for weirdly bent forks and/or buckled headtube downtube. Bad dents are another showstopper. Nothing else is really a deal breaker, just a monetary adjustment with the seller.

It is a pretty nice rider, and if it is really in the shape the seller says, it will be in the $200-300 range most places in the USofA...

+1, If its as nice condition as the poster says it is, I think Luker's estimate hits the mark. I had a chance to ride one of the steel, downtube shifting Allez about 2 years ago. Very nice rider, too bad Specialized turned to aluminum. I've got an 04 Allez. For an aluminum bike, Specialized did a nice job of taking out some of the harshness.
