Lots of rumblings on the net about how awesome this thing might be. Just curious to know if anyone has actually seen one in action. Has the PBSF been bested?

I use it on my bike. It's very obnoxious and very bright. Seems like it's more visible/attention grabbing than my Printon Tec Swerve.

I use both, with one on my Osprey Talon 22's blinker mount.

I played with one at REI the other day. No way to know for sure without seeing it in use outdoors, but I didn't seem as bright as the PBSF. Would love to see an outdoor comparison in the dark.

The specs of the cherrybomb say .5 watt led while the PBSF is a 1 watt LED.. I went to REI to see one but they had none on display..

The PBSF actually has a 0.5W main emitter too. The bigger question in my mind is what the beam pattern is like. Is it intense when viewed from, say, a 30° angle? Also, what sort of flash pattern does it use?

I'm using one on my road bike now. It is lighter than the Cateye 1100 I replaced . I still use 1100's on my MTB's. It is one of the brighter self contained taillights I've used and uses AAA as opposed to AA's in the 1100. It also has a wide flared out beam as opposed to the 1100 which has much narrower beam spread. Under normal conditions and use it can be seen very well at most angles to the rear of the bike when mounted on the seat post. Removal is easy, but it remains secure when in use. So far I like the light.

I tried it at the LBS today and it is much brighter than a MARS 3.0 and is just as bright or brighter than a MARS 4.0. It's side visibility is better than either MARS also FWIW.

I bought one two weeks ago and another a few days ago. I really like them. The flash pattern isn't as attention getting as the superflash, but I think it is brighter.

So far I really like them.
