Mountain Biking - Fork Upgrade

Way past time to replace the crappy coil sprung fork for on my GT LTS. I'm pretty sure I'm ruling the SID out, but I'm having trouble deciding between the Recon and Reba for light XC to moderately aggressive trail riding. Unfortunately, I can't really demo either one on the kind of terrain they are designed for. Any suggestions between the two?

OK, so what makes it better, in your opinion? Less weight, better adjustibility, ride, range of damping....?

All those things, and having serviced a few, I know they aren't a huge PITA to maintain. The wide stanchions make it pretty snappy to respond, too (though the recon may also have the wide legs). Honestly, I prefer fox right now, but every customer who has bought a reba REALLY likes them.

I run a 2008 Reba team on my 96 sworks stumjumper and it's a blast. It's light (3.5lbs) it has a lot of adaptability (+ - air spring, rebound, compression as well as adjustable travel) as well as having a remote lockout for the compression. They are easy to work on and parts are readily available from Rock Shox. You can also get a lower end model like a Race and upgrade the compression damping later on if you want.
The Recon is below the Reba in the hierarchy and only has a positive air spring and less adjustability. They both work really well for the price, but if you have the cash go Reba.
