(Yes, I'm new to this forum so I'm 'shooting off')

What's the feeling in the USA about the EFBe fatigue test? http://www.efbe.de/defbefrm.htm

I've decide to live and die by it, meaning I'm probably gunna get a Cervelo or a Cannondale. Is this the right attitude?

probably not. the cannondales and cervelos are good bikes, but unless you are a 500 pound, 5% body fat, 3000 Watt sprinter, most aluminum frames will hold up longer then you would keep them for. You should probably buy a frame by what fits you the best, rather then how much fatigue it can take.

The test looks legit to me. Like the previous poster stated, I believe most frames will last most people a life time - and that includes aluminum.

However, you can't go wrong with either of your selections :)

I think it's a good effort at a standardized test procedure, and about the only one. And, have to applaud C'dale for the fine CAAD 7 results on a super-light frame.

But remember, the frames listed there are only the few that have paid for testing, and then authorized EFBe to post their results.

Agree with the posters that say any high-quality frame today should work for you. Of course, high-output, high-mileage racers can break them all in a few seasons, but for the rest of us they seem to last longer than we care to ride them.
