Just landed a set of deep carbon wheels so cheap that they are meant for my CX ride and my steller botom 10 finishes.

Seriously the wheels were cheap enough to leave money for nice tubular tires. So cheap I'm looking at Challenge and dare I say Dugast.

So two questions. For running to the cafe and racing on the weekends which tire?
second. I will run some Al hoops and these new CF. I'm currently running Avid Shory 6 (2009) brakes. how do i manage the brake pads with the least amount of hassle?

merry christmas to me :-)

but giving a drunk directions in abbreviated form is not very helpful :-)

Velonews has a great article on cross tubulars. I would personally stay away from Dugasts because A: they are so expensive, and B they are fragile. They are the best tires out there but unless you've got the budget, get something else.

Challenge are good too. Velonews did not include vittoria tubulars in their review. I would say they are a more durable Challenge tire but not as supple.
