I am fairly new to riding fixed. I have been riding for around 5 months. I am currently running 49x17 and I can keep up until I start hitting hills. I live in a really hilly area. Some small and some steep. What would be an appropriate gearing ratio? I want to get a new chainring and not sure what to get.

I would recommend a 46 so you can have 46x17 which is right at 70GI which is not really a mashing gear but its also not something you will be spinning too hard with downhill.
