Agreed. However, in his defense, which he doesn't really deserve, he looks like he was dropped repeatedly as a child. Note the dull, blank stare. Yep, he should be dropkicked.

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) -- A man was arrested on charges of killing his neighbor's 17-year-old dog by place-kicking it like a football.

Chad Daniel Crawford, 23, was charged with cruelty to animals and vandalism Tuesday in the death of Gizmo, a 2-pound miniature Yorkshire terrier. Crawford was freed on $25,000 bail.

Jalani Lewis said he was in his apartment complex when he saw one of three men holding the dog like a football and then saw Crawford kick the animal.

Lewis said the dog flew through the air in a high arc, hit the pavement and rolled under a parked car. The dog was apparently dead when it hit the ground and the men were laughing, Lewis said.

Crawford said the accusations were false but declined further comment.

Very sad these guys need to get a life.

"Very sad these guys need to get a life"

They had a life and they decided to spend it doing crap like this (and who knows what else)... now their lives should be very different (but doubtfully will be) from this point forward with jail time, public service and facial tattoo's that read in bold, upper case letters, I HAVE A SMALL **** SO THEREFORE I KILL DOGS

I noticed that too.

Let's just hope this halfwit doesn't reproduce. Heaven help any child of his. Alas, his ilk tend to reproduce early and often, since they're too stupid to figure out how to use birth control.

I always thought people like reproduced "early & often" because they had some rogue DNA gene in their body that said, "Chances are you won't be alive long enough to reproduce later into your 30's so start now in your teens".

Like what? The dog was calling him names? He thought it was actually a football? It is not his fault because "he had a bad childhood"? He was attacked by a 17 year old two pound dog and retaliated?

This guy should be strapped to the ground and repeatedly kicked in the groin by a striker from a pro soccer team

I call to the dog's defense, Brian McBride. Mr. McBride, your boots...

Indeed!! By the way, can you imagine the actual damage that Mr. Dog Punter would really take from a pro striker with just a few kicks to the onions?? Brings a warm smile to my face.

I'm sure it would prevent him from any further contributions to the gene pool. Though I'm not certain you could call it "contributing" in this guy's case.

Yes he will and I hope the Judge is a dog owner. But I still want to kick the crap out of him. I no it's wrong. But I can still dream of it.

I think we should put him in a cage with a big mean dog, and shmear hamburger all over him!

Remember those two shmucks in San Francisco whose dogs mauled that woman to death?

I always thought that we should "Do unto others". Let the punishment match the crime. Let someone much bigger drop kick him..

That sounds like a plan. I like it.
What really worries me is these are the same people that love to play that game of lets see how close we can get to the cyclist. Just one more reason to give him a good punt.

Was the dog running loose or was it tied up in the yard when Mr. Halfwit made his feild goal attempt? It matters.

Yorkshire terrier's are one of the most annoying dogs on earth. If his owner was irresponsible and allowed the yappy little bastard to terrorize the neighbors, scatter trash and bark all night, I can understand why people would want to kill it. But that still does not excuse cruelty. When I see dogs running loose I call animal control and have them picked up. The only time I kill a dog is if I see it sniffing around my chickens.

This dog was SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD, I don't believe it was doing much of anything.

My wifes ex did much the same thing without any legal manifestations. He had his white carpet shampooed one day, came home and found that his cat had pissed on it. He grabbed the cat, opened the sliding glass door, and punted the cat into a neighbors yard.
Just one of the many reasons I hate the S.O.B.

It's a good thing most of us don't live in Tennessee we probably would have formed a lynching mob by this time. Only to get tossed in to the slammer with that piece of crap.

Thanks everyone. It's good to see I'm not the only one that got upset about this sick report.

There's always 2 sides to the story.

Small dogs are evil. They have short dog's syndrome, which they compensate for by being extra-aggressive. Me? I am more afraid of smaller dogs than bigger ones. Maybe the dog bit him.

If a court finds him guilty, then so be it.

This story sickened me. That being said, the dog shown with the article was an impostor!!

Thanks I couldn't get the link to work but this on does. http://www.geocities.com/gizmolives2004/GizmoRIP.html

A "severe blow to the brain stem area" was the likely cause of death for Gizmo. "There was nothing that definitively defined the source of the injury," said Dr. Ron Wilson, director of the C.E. Kord Diagnostic Laboratory at the Ellington Agricultural Center in Nashville, where the exam was conducted. "But certainly there was nothing that disputed the story that was offered by the owner."

Thanks for the link on Gizmo. I guess the owners are still upset about everything and made a fast decision about what picture to use.

The story about date **** hits home. It happened to a cousin of mine back a couple of years ago. She still won't go in a bar or to a party unless it with family.

Shouldn't matter at all. A judge should be impartial and fair. Period.

You are right. I would hate to show up in court after being hit by a suv. Only to find out he was a 4 wheeled drive fanatic.

if it was a violent dog i am joyed. (i've ran into to so many of those long toothed bastards. i an't gonna kill one unless i'm threatened, but i sure don't mind others doing it as long as it was a violent dog. god i've ran into some violent dogs. sometimes you even get to watch them kill each other. they'll chew each others throats out! i really don't value the lives of violent creatures such as those. they are a menace. not something to be ooohhed and awed over. if it was a nice then that was kinda f'd up).
