Bicycle Mechanics - Bent Fork?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Earlier I had posted about a bent rim, but apparently my fork is bent! I say apparently because the wheel is offcenter now by about 1/4". I really can't see anything wrong with the fork, and it seems to still be working ok. It is a Skareb Comp. I am sure there is nothing I can do about it, but should I continue to ride or race on it and what should I replace it with?
Thanks,
Gary.
May I suggest you take you bike to an LBS for evaluation. they can measure the fork and determine if it is bent or what the problem may be.
If you think you have a bent fork, then you should not ride the bike until you get it checked. A fork that is bent could fail suddenly and put you face first on the ground.
Are you sure thew wheel is FULLY seated in the dropouts?
Yes, it is fully seated, and I have tried two different wheels. The more I think about it the more I doubt it is bent, but probably something happened to make one side slightly longer than the other. After the crash that caused it, I rode for an hour and a half in a race with the wheel off-center, with a bent wheel, and with the disc rotor rubbing. If I had looked things over a little closer I would have pushed it back to the start.
