What is the easiest way to cut them?

i used a pipe cutter for mine, took all of 5 minutes

I've cut a few pairs of bars. I used a hacksaw the first time, it was a pain in the ass, but got the job done. The other times i used a pipe cutter. It worked great until i was chopping some real old steel bars for a friend and it broke the pipe cutter after i cut one side.

I was worried about the pipe cutter not working. Maybe I will give it a go with that, and if no luck, I will move to the hacksaw.

if you use anything other than a pipe cutter you are an idiot and will waste a bit of time and energy.

I have used a hacksaw, a pipe cutter, and a cut off blade on a right angle grinder. The 3rd worked the best. I've always had trouble with the pipe cutters on the weird angle of the bars and hacksaws never cut straight enough for me. Right angle grinder=10 seconds=can smooth off with a grinding wheel right after. You can get all of said items for $15 and they will last you a long enough time and will come in handy in a lot of projects.

Pipecutters are nice but don't work well on Steelbars or bends.

This must be the 3rd post like this in a month. My hat is off to the guys who can actually answer the question, again and again.

pipe cutter is the best and prob the safest way as well.

a pipe cutter will allow you to cut the bars more easily and evenly while a hacksaw will prove to be a bit harder.

if you have a hacksaw lying around give it a try, but if your going to go buy something at the hardware store..pipe cutter all the way

sometimes when you cut drop bars, it's on a bend where a pipe cutter won't do so good.
get a hose clamp, tighten it down where you want to cut the bars, use a hacksaw to cut at that spot, pressing against the clamp- using it as a guide.
hold the part you cut off up to the other side of the bars and put the hose clamp there to ensure the sides match.

I usually use a hacksaw, but it can be hard to make a straight cut sometimes.
A pipe cutter is probably best.

You can certainly cut a steel bar with pipe cutter if you dont try and take a lot of material with each pass.
