Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - biomega bikes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Was just trolling the Momovelo site and came across these:

They seem to be ss, but I can't tell for sure.
THe site is nice eye candy, nevertheless.

Lucky you. Köpenhamn is a cool city, very relaxed, and Danes are fun people. In case you didn't see it, here's a fixed site for Denmark:

Enjoy!
And have a shrimp sandwich and a Carlsberg for me!

It doesn't. It works the same as a drive shaft.

i dont know about cars. i have never owned one and ride in one maybe twice a year. how does the drivetrain connect to the cranks? do they just directly turn a drive belt? how could that be as efficient as a chain turning a chainring?
feel free to accomodate as much of your own time to my ignorance as you feel like. i tried to find a diagram of a drive shaft on the internet and it didnt help much to elucidate these wonder bikes... (that are still very ugly)

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!
i am starting to compile as much fixie related information as i can before i head over for 6 months since i am planning on bringing my khs over if it's not too expensive. i haven't been able to find anything aside some email addresses from fixed gear gallery and kai at momo saying fixed parts are expensive. if you have anything else at all, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure you can take your KHS fine, as you can usually take your bike on the plane instead of one suitcase. For transatlantic flights you usually get 2 suitcase of 32kg max or 1 suitcase + bike. I use a soft padded bike bag that I also fill with clothes wrapped in plastic bags to stop them getting dirty. That way I give the bike extra padding and would estimate that the bike bag was well in excess of 32 kg. (They don't usually weigh bike bags because they're too big for the scales).

just water them twice a week
if the relampago is for urban use.. why did they make it where there's no hole in the frame to lock it down with? also.. why do the not mention the frame material.
Why would you want a hole in your frame? Seems that would do serious things to structural integrety... Probably even worse if your frames were made out of bamboo...
Does your frame have holes?

yah. two nice big ones in the shape of traingles.

No, those are spaces in the shape of the frame... I thought you were talking about real holes through the frame...

oh. no. have you looked at the site? that bikes frame has no holes of any kind to loop a chaing through yet the advertise them for urban riding.
has anyone riden one of the hole-less frames from them? they have a fixie one.
IT DOESN"T HAVE A CHAINRING!!!! IT IS DIRECT DRIVE!!!
You can still lock the frame to whatever you want. They have a couple of fixie ones if I remember right. Even ones w/ disk brakes.

Bye bye Merton...
uh. here nt. did you even bother to look at the site?
i'm talking about the bonanza, extravaganza, and relampago. you do realise i'm talking about a chain and lock, right?
also the wheels cant be locked to the frame at all... wow.
edit!!!!!!!
i emailed biomega about the lock. they seem like a nice company.. a little partronizing (they didn't really answer the question), but otherwise pretty nice in their customer service.
