Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Do you know them?
very cheap and 300mm deep rim. well not the best in weight (1750gr), but for $300?

300mm? perhaps 30? I have some velomax Vista wheels at 30mm that weigh 1797gr and are fast wheels IMHO. for TTing weight isn't as important as aerodynamics - what are you using the wheels for? 1800gr is still light compared to some cheaper wheel sets.

If they're 30mm deep they can't be light. I have some Mavic CXP 30s and some Rigida DP18s; both are 30mm deep, and weigh a tonne. The CXP 30s (rim only) are 570g (each, obviously), and the Rigidas are 590g! That is heavy. I was so shocked I dismantled the front wheels, and just kept the rears for training because they are super strong and quite stiff.
I've read that there is no quantifiable aero benefit unless the rim is 40mm deep or greater, so you may just be buying a strong, stiff, cheap wheel set.
I favour the Mavic CXP33 which is about 24mm deep, making it stiff enough, and it's not too heavy at ~470g. DT have just brought out a rim called the 'RR 1.1', which is 21.2mm deep, and ~419g (I weighed one myself).
