I asked E to show his ss conversion and the robot guy threw me out of his thread! I hate it when that happens. Anyhow, I'd love to see any conversions you guys have done with these older Schwinn, Peugeot, Raleigh (whatever) frames. I'd show you mine but I'm still stuck getting the wheel/axle figured out.

Here's a caad5 conversion - campy chorus rear hub with spacers, crankset with 42 middle chainring off a triple.

Its about an ~86 Raleigh Capri. I'm still planning on changing the crankset to a single, but I haven't bought one yet. Its my favorite bike and probably the best riding bike that I have ever ridden.

It was a miracle - 42x16 and a bell chain from walmart - fit perfectly.

Here's mine. It's been posted before a few times. It's a late 80's Cannondale with an Eno rear hub. It hasn't been ridden much lately because I am recovering from a broken arm along with a few other injuries sustained in a diy home project. I am starting to get a little antsy waiting until I can put some weight on the wrist.
