How was this movie?
It looks great from the trailer and stuff, but I want another opinion on it.
Is it worth the cash to buy it?

Its okay the first time around, after that forget it. If you like watching people ride bikes really fast, running stop lights, its cool. The only really cool thing about it was having Lance ride with the crew.

go outside, ride your bike, watch your friends ride their bikes, ride in the wrong lane, get in fights with drunk public workers who want to kill you, listen to The Mall.. same thing for free.

The MASH video was alright. It's mostly people going really fast. The Austin scenes are really cool, though, and they are up on the website. All in all, I wouldn't pay $40 for the dvd. Bootleg Sessions is where it's at.

MASH is the only fixed gear video I've seen and I couldn't really get into it.
I love skate videos but riding a bike doesn't really translate the same way on video.
After the first 2 minutes it's pretty much the same thing over and over again.
While the riders are definitely skilled and I take my hats off to the filmmakers for going through with the project and documenting their scene, it's just not that interesting.
I would have been pretty disappointed if I would have paid money for it.

I used to skateboard so I'm familiar with this format of video, just can't believe they did it for fixed gear. As much fun as it is to ride really fast it also gets dull to watch really fast. They're all strong riders, but its an hour long srsly....

yeah, I can barely watch a skate video that's an hour long. I mean, it has to be really really good skating.
But a friend put it on and I couldn't get past 15 minutes.

I'm obviously in the minority here, but MASH always gets me pumped to go ride. I prefer Fast Friday, but MASH ain't nothin to shake a stick at.

I finally downloaded it and watched it.
I thought it was pretty sick,
but I can see why it can get boring to others.
Its just I ride the same areas as them, so it just seemed like, cooler.
Haha, i wouldnt buy it, but download it for sure.
On my 2nd time round, less cool, but still gets me pumped to ride.
i give these guys props for navigating those steep steep SF hills
....pray to god they'll live to be 40

I also downloaded it yesterday and watched it. I've never ridden in SF but I can understand finding it cooler when you recognize the places. That may be why I'm more excited to see Empire. But other than that, it was fairly boring. One guy was entertaining - the one talking about how there weren't many people riding fixed when he started messengering. The guest rider sections seemed like they were just trying to make the movie a bit longer. At least it wasn't all doing tricks.

That's the most annoying part of the movie to me. Who the hell cares how many people were riding fixed or that the first guy who did was "Originally from NY"

To me seeing people ride fast and with style through NYC traffic is way more exciting than people bombing hills. I think this would go for the average person who knows nothing about fixed gear riding at all too.
