Winter Cycling - Glare ice!!!!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Horrible freezing rain storm last night coated the entire region in about 1/2" of clear ice.
Hell yeah! I am heading out now.
When they ask, could you please tell them that I was last seen wearing a blue jacket and riding an orange bike. I do not have any specific preference with what is done with my body, providing it can be recovered.

Glare ice is great with fully studded tires. Unless there are other road users.
Lol!! I've found that the worse the weather, the more people give you a wide berth - making the assumption that you're crazy as a loon!! Hope you have studded tires on! :thumb:

It must be weird to live in a place where people actually drive during winter storms.
You know, as opposed to sitting in stationary cars on the roads cursing the guy in front of them.
Perhaps it's finally time to get that blaze orange zoot suit with the embedded flashing LED's. :D. "The Electric Cyclist". Hey, what a concept for a movie.
Drive careful.
Back!
Yup, I have studded tires and lights and all the stuff.
Good times.

Weird is when people drive in an ice storm with a cell phone at their ear, a coffee cup in one hand and ciger in the other.
