I am a clyde and am looking for new ways to help with weight loss. What are some of the best ways to use the fluid 2 trainer to help me achieve my weight loss goals?

pick up a heart rate monitor if you can and a few spinervals DVD's
start with some aerobic base work then move to some intervals

I have the same trainer. Not sure how old you are but find your aerobic threshold (say 150bpm) and ride 1 hour - 2 hours a day at your aerobic level. You WILL lose weight if you do this 5-6 times a week. Nothing beats riding outside though. Welcome to Hell :D

Picking Spinervals is tough. If you are in horrible shape, get
Sweating Buckets and
Lean and Mean and

If you can boogie a little, start with Base Builder 5.
I am hearing good things about the Carmicheal dvds, haven't tried them.
I also ride while watching old movies and shows. What you want is something exciting, and someplace sunny. The second Matrix movie may not be great art, but it's perfect. During the motorcycle chase scene I pedal like crazy, even lean when she leans. Movies with good chase scenes, yeah.

yep. helps pass the time.
Your first few weeks will be great as all new toys are, then you will get very tired of pedaling and not going anywhere. THis is when you need to mix it up...both your workouts and what you do to pass the time.
if you do a search you will find tons that will help you 1) create broad workout schedule, 2) learn to target your workouts/ create a plan, 3) measure your fittness, 4) learn how to eat well...and a bunch of other stuff too.
