Besides the general look of the frame and fork, that paintjob is insane. (although a bit too much for me.)

Lovely frame......thank god it's not in my size, although the guy lives here in SoCal. I like everything about it except the entire DA 10 drivetrain. It's proprietary.....you can't use it with anything else.

Just give everyone a year or so and you'll be able to find stuff that's compatable with the DA 10. I started seeing various external bearing bottom brackets from other manufacturers in catalogs recently. They'll find a way, God bless 'em, no matter what Shimano tries to do to keep their stuff on a Shimano pedestal.
it says it has a campy record BB. so why cant you use it with anything else?

actually, in this case, there isn't anything compatible with Dura Ace 10. it's not dura ace 10 speed, it's dura ace 10 pitch. they experimented with it in the 80s and it was a good system. basically, a 48T chainring can be the same size as a normal 43 or 44T ring, thereby saving a little weight, and the same with the cog a 16T cog is the same size as another manufacturer's 13 or 14T cog. and the chain has more links. (the teeth are all 1cm apart, instead of the modern, ubiquitous 1/2". the UCI banned Dura Ace 10 because they felt it gave riders who were using it an unfair advantage. it's cool stuff to have for like, a show piece. it's a pretty impressive group in person (international bicycle in boston had a serotta built up with all dura ace 10 stuff. the cranks are soooo beefy looking it's nuts.
all you'd really have to do is switch the chainring, cog and chain and it'd be fine. i think the crank uses either 130 or 110 bcd. and i doubt the rear hub has some crazy weird threading. it looks like a pretty sweet ride.

sorry dude, wrong on all counts. the cranks are 122 bcd, and the cog and lockring threads are 33mm and 32 mm respectively. i have a nearly full DA 10 group in a box here. all i need is a rear hub & lockring.

Meh, either way, I like Campy stuff for the geared road scene these days.
