Framebuilders - Removing sticky residue from frame stickers

Anybody have suggestions for removing the sticky residue from frame stickers....? Wo. harming the paint?

WD-40 is magic for removing almost all adhesives. And, it is soap and water soluble, so it washes off easily....

I have some stuff called Goo Gone that that works pretty good.

I'm thinking about having some stickers made to stick on the forehead of the guys at the bike shop that says "Don't put your #*# bike shop stickers on my bike".

I have tried both wd-40 and goo gone mentioned above. The best (and I am assuming that faster is better) solvent I have found is goof-off. You can get it in any hardware store and it is strong enough to eat the skin off you hand. It works really well but make sutre to wash it off after your dine becuase it will start to eat the paint if you leave it on too long. The safest way (and the logest) is something like simple green as this like wd-40 goo-gone and goof-off will eat the paint.

at Trek the guys that put the decals on would use acetone to take them back off when they messed up. Imron will survive that without any damage. You might want to try it.

Coleman fuel will remove old dried macking tape residue and the sticky glue left from decals and will not effect the finish. It can be used on paper to remove dried tape.
