Mountain Biking - Singletrack Copper Ale

Its brewed by Boulder beer, I came across a 6 pack today and I couldnt resist just because of the name, and it has a sweet picture of 2 Mtn. bikes hanging out on a trail, its getting cool in the fridge right now.

Has anyone on here ever tried it? I'm not real big into fancier beers but I figured why not give it a shot..

It's okay but wouldn't buy again unless the choices were rather limited. I had hoped for better, it's more like boring doubletrack. Better than Fat Tire at least.

Im in the same boat, like I said, I am not big on fancy beer, I would rather sit down with a Coors Light, but it did beat the hell out of Fat Tire. I dont think I will be purchasing it again, if i can ever even find it again in this town I live in.

Coors light barely qualifies as beer. Watered-down beer-like drink. Just my silly opinion.

What are your feelings on IPAs?

For some body elses money I would pick Boulevard Wheat. For mine its High Life

I live for good IPA, I'm just a hoppy kind of guy. My current favorite store-bought that I can get on a regular basis is Bear Republic Racer 5. Russian River offerings are very nice, but not in the local store, have to go riding at Annadel to justify picking some up. If I'm in Reno I'll be sure to have some of Great Basin's Ichthyosaur. Don't see Dogfish Head much out here but that's pretty damn tasty (90 min particularly but I'll take the 60 min anytime too). Drake, Stone, Green Flash, and Lagunitas all regularly spend time in the fridge, too.

Coors is good when it's hot and nothing else is available...

I tried the fat tire before, it was OK. Then I tried some "Mojo" (also a Boulder beer) the Mojo was undrinkable. I poured four down the sink. (the only reason I drank a secound one was because I couldn't believe how bad the first one was) I stay away from the Boulder brewing company now.

We all got our opinions, but I quite like my Colorado Koolaid!




As far as IPAs go I have only had the IPA at Brekenridge Brewery, it was nasty but it was like 15% so, I would drink that to pregame when my buddy was at work when I was visiting in Denver...

IPA's tend to be much stronger than swill like Coors but no way it's 15%, more like 6-9% range for the most part, maybe 10%...but if you like Curs stick to it!

We all got our opinions, but I quite like my Colorado Koolaid!


Last time I was in colorado, I rode on the mesa behind the Coors factory. Good times, good times. Thats all I have to add.
