Jokes & Humor - Interesting statistic

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

In the interesting fact page in the local campus newspaper, it said that there is a 1 in 2 chance that an American will live within 50 miles of where they grew up. Just chew on that for a while, and you should see the humor.
I'll let you know as soon as I grow up. :)

Ugh, don't remind me... hopefully I'll change that for a while soon... I don't want to be on that side of the statistic.

I was more refering to the implication of the statistic, rather than the stat itself. It is saying that there is a 1 in 2 chance, meaning that they either will or won't live within 50 miles. It is a completely useless stat for that reason, and I thought that it was kinda funny that anyone would waste their time collaborating the information.

yes it may be a useless stat but interesting none the less.
What did they do for the people that grew up all over the place I wonder. I've lived in almost each area of the US (except the South East) and I'm 16. Hrmmm.

I thought you were referring to the point that 100% of Americans will live exactly where they grow up. Show me one that has figured out how to live elsewhere.
