There was a previous thread on putting a front derailleur on the 20" Downtube but I can't find it with a search. I am wondering if this type is a possibility, or any better ideas?

I thought that the NS had a smaller seat tube relative to the DT models that fit standard clamps ... 34.9 mm? Anyway, the e-type is for a MTB such that the derailer cage is probably a poor fit for the chainrings on a folding bike.

As a side note, I believe that the standard DT bike has a 40mm seat tube such that you would have to try one of the Dahon front derailers that Thor sells. Presumably one of those derailers might work with a Birdy or Swift folder too. Although I don't know how it handles the bottom pull road derailers. The front derailer sold by Xootr appears to have a roller allowing a top-routed cable to pull down on the front derailer.
