I just watched this documentary for about the fifth time. I am just glad that Stars is now showing it, that it is getting some mainstream exposure. http://waco93.com/index.html Even if you do not agree with the Davidian's beliefs or agree with their religon etc. which I do not neccesarily, however it does not give anyone or any alphabet agency the right to do what they did.
You may have heard all the mainstream media's side now before you judge me on this thread, watch the documentary. See for yourself, another view on this atrocity. You should try to see both sides of a issue anyway not just what CNN throws at you.

The government obviously did some things wrong, but i dont think they are the only ones to blame.

That guy Carash (sp?) went to town for lunch quite often. If there really was a reason to arrest him they could of done it then not grandstand. It was 100% the governments fault and everyone connected with it should haVE been fired and put on trial.

Obviously if they wanted him then they could have gone to town and picked him up. But also if officals have a search warrant and come into your house and announce they are coming into your house. You cant shoot at them without being fired back. Again everyone was at fault.

It's been a while since I've seen the documentary, but I remember the whole situation was really messed up.

Hunter, do you read the New American? There were a ton of articles in that magazine in the 2-3 years after that went down. There was also a lot of interesting discussion on the Murray Federal Building bombing in OKC and TWA flight 800. If you haven't read it, you should try and look up some old issues.

I guess what I meant was it seems coincidental that you live in the area that the Branch Davidian's had their center and seem to share some similar beliefs and seem to champion them as somehow the victim of government abuse. Have you been associated with the Branch Davidians? Perhaps you could share some insight into the reasons they did not comply with the search warrant they were served.

No I am not or never was associated with them. The Davidian's teachings were largely centered around the seven seals. They did however believe that the second coming of Christ was nigh at hand. They did not comply with the warrant because it was not properly served, and the BATF used excessive force. By law if a police, or government agency uses excessive force against you in your house either by unlawful entry, or to serve a warrant, and they fail to do so by the letter of the law, then you are justified by using force to remove them from your property.
Remember in the documentary if you observe closely do you see any dirt flying up or cars with holes in them from Davidian return fire? I didn't, however there were injured BATF agents during their botched raid. If what the agents that testified in Congress said was true, when the BATF first pulled up and opened fire, if the Davidians with all the weapons they had, and all the people who could use them opened fire, the BATF would have been cut to pieces.

I'm actually in Waco.... been out to the compound site a few times and its pretty creepy. I agree though that the gov. is as much to blame as Koresh and the Davidians.
