I have a brand new (never ridden) R2000 to sell. Is E-bay the best place to list?

There are several places you can place your bike. all have advantages and disadvantages.
if you use ebay you can have a reserve price on the bike, meaning you will get what you want, But if the reserve is not met by the end of the auction you will have to re-list the bike again. If the auction ends with your reserve price met or above, you got what you wanted and or an additional amount, But you have to pay ebay a fee.
There is a place called craigslist.com you can list your bike there for free at the price you want, But beware of fruads, especially someone from overseas saying he wants your bike without asking you any questions about the bike and has arranged for shipping, he will have a client in the States send you a Cashiers check for well over the amount of what you are asking, he will ask you to send the balance to his shipping company via western union. Be careful, the cashiers check is a FONEY and you will get nailed for cashing it and sending cash to the fruad. But there are some serious buyers on craigslist, again advantages and disadvantages.
you also have a place on the web called bicycleclassifieds.com this place again you can list for free, I have not encountered any fruads on this site, but this doesnt mean they arent there be careful, this site also seems as if it takes for ever, but since your bike is new you may have better luck.
Then you have your LBS, I am sure they may be willing to sell the bike for you on consignment. There are several LBS's that deal only in used bikes and do consignments.
Then you have the newspaper, cost a small fee to place your ad, but probably the best or safest, my choices would be the newspaper, ebay or lbs
Good luck

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe legit, but it raises some questions.

E-bay is okay.

You may want to try local. The OhioCity Bike Co-Op has listings on their page. Eddy's also takes in trades, from what I hear.
