So after bailing on the sub freezing temps after about 5 miles this morning I finally got back out in the afternoon. The temp had climbed up into the 60's and we had blue skies, with a fair amount of wind.
I had to stop by and see my buds that hang out not to far from the house.

The camels know me, and always come up to me. I didn't hang long enough for them to get all the way to me today.

After leaving the cool animals, I decided to head out to the lake and my favorite spot, the Marina.

It was a nice day in the Dallas area, lot's of folks taking advantage of it.

After leaving the Marina, I decided it was a brilliant idea to do about three run up and down the road that leads down to the Lake. It's about 2 miles, and has some nice rollers. There is no photographic evidence of my suffering on the hills.
Having survived the roller frenzy I headed off to see what could be done about the sad state of affairs of our local professional football team. I think a hostile take over is in order myself, and there is only one man for the job.

Unfortunately, JR wasn't home.
The rest of the ride was spent dodging late afternoon traffic and side mirrors. I did have a very close encounter with a rock/dirt hauler 18 wheeler. It seems he miss judged the length of his trailer by a few feet after being kind and giving me ample room on his pass. I ended up in the grassy ditch after he started moving over on me. I have to believe years of racing off road motorcycles helped me keep everything up right.
After that I decided it was time to make the way back home before traffic got any worse.
