Needed 30'ish miles to kick my BJ miles up to 5,000. Mission accomplished by Jeepers, it was tough! I did this ride a couple days before Christmas and it was easy. Today, the tamales, brownies and peanut butter cookies were fighting me the entire time. I actually wanted to ride further up the mtn but the tamales said,"NO!".:D.....I got to the tunnels and still gave it a thought but the cars were in packs of 10-15. No way would I make it thru the narrow tunnels safely....Just when I thought about it a second time, the cookies along with the brownies thru in their opinion so I headed back down the mtn.:p
From home, I have a 2 mile warmup across Rt 66 then up 2,000 ft in 8 miles. It was tough today but oh well, I'm back on track now that the tamales are gone!:thumb:

Pretty ride, Beanz. Looks very peaceful, as long as the cars can get around you.
I know what you mean. I was tasting last night's spaghetti all morning.

Ahhh...peanut butter cookies. A cold glass of milk and a pile of them sound good about now. Enjoy your pics.

I could see how good tamales could really sit in your stomach and make their opinions known!

It's a good thing I can actually go buy fresh made (same day) tamales. Otherwise I would be cursing you for making me want some tamales.:roflmao2:
I think I have found my New Years Day after ride/football watching food. Might have to add an avocado or two in there though.

Hey Beanz, good on ya for getting the goal all squared away. I had a former co-worker here from Cali, who used to bring me in home made tamales when he & his wife made them up fresh. Man I couldn't wait to get home from work those nights. Good Stuff!!
