is it easier to hold a stand with the bullhorns? and in general, do you have more control as opposed to a straight bar? i'm considering changing to bullhorns but wanna make sure before making the leap...

I do trackstands with great ease on my profile stokers... I think you do get a bit more leverage. Also they're great for climbing, and the length also lets me get nice and stretched out. I like them a lot better than the flat bars I originally had.

i've got diy bullhorns one one bike and drop bars on another- there doesn't seem to be too much difference track standing with either. once you get it, you got it.
I prefer bullhorns to a flat bar more for the comfort of another hand position. The hooks are nice for hills too.
So yea, bullhorns, I like them. If you're worried about making the leap and spending the cash, ask an LBS for an old pair of drops- hack em, and give them a try.

Personally, I don't think it makes any difference in the ease of trackstanding regardless of style of handlebars used. You should choose your bars for riding comfort more for than any other reason.

Ya know, when i quickly skim down the posts to see what's new i always think for a second that Skitbraviking's avatar is all cleavage instead of a Viking helmet. You would think my brain would learn after a wile.
