Can anyone make any suggestions on any east coast based organized rides? I’m thinking something like a metric or full century and preferably something towards the south in like March or April. Anything close to Raleigh, N.C. would be a plus (sister lives there). Thanks in advance.

Here is a link to our local bike club's posting of some rides in the southeast:

Please note that Greenville is about 3.5 hours from Raliegh, but they are some great rides listed especially if you enjoy beautiful scenery, friendly people & maybe even a sneaky hill here or there.

If you happen to be in the western part of NC in May or June you should definitely check out these rides:

I'm pretty sure the metric out of Crowders Mountain is the 2nd Sunday in April. Crowders Mtn is near the NC/SC line and just off I-85. You can find it on the Gaston County Cyclist's website.

As I recall they usually have the Foothills Classic in April-it starts north of Winston-Salem.
