Electronics, Lighting, & Gadgets - Anyone using a BlackBerry to do GPS on bike?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I just got a BlackBerry 8820. I want to use is as a stop gap to buying one of the Garmins until after my wedding this year.
Im wondering if there are any apps out there that allow you to record a route and get the information for it afterwards. Like I just want to start the unit, start recording, and get on the bike. When Im done I want to be able to retrieve speed and distance.
Any ideas?

You could try Mologogo (http://www.mologogo.com/). I've never used it, but it seems like it would work for what you're doing.
Edit: from reading their wiki, it seems like it's restricted to Nextel plans only.
Edit again: Ok, their wiki doesn't seem up to date. I see mentions of Sprint and BlackBerries on their forums, so it might be working. I'd really like a way I could carry my BB in my pocket on long rides and my wife could log in to see my location. It would give her peace of mind.

Two minutes of googling has turned up dozens of these services. Buddyway.com seems to be another one.

Ok, this seems great. I've got a BlackBerry 8330 on Sprint, and instamapper.com works so far. In 2 minutes I had it up and running, and when I logged in to their site, their Google map interface pinpointed my house right away. I haven't tried walking down the street or anything, but it seems like it'll work just fine.
You can set the number of seconds to use as the update interval so you don't kill the battery. Every 30 seconds should work fine. I think if my wife can log in and see that I'm still moving on the road she'll feel a lot better. I don't always hear my phone ring when I'm riding.
