Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - What did you break in '08?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Was a pretty good year. Nothing major :)
2 forks, (broke fork end on one and bent the other).
1 Rim + 1 spoke (trials bike, technically both a fixed gear (fixed hub) and ss (freewheel on crank)).
1 Chainring (remember to check your stack bolts more than once a season).

- 5600 miles on one bike (personal mileage record) - I got close to 5700 before New Years. That was counting since April when I built my IRO up.
- My personal speed record on a bike (39.5mph - on my fixed this time)
- 5 tyres.
- LS crank arm on a splined crank bike (el-cheapo Bianchi from the 70s/80s) that I ran fixed last winter. It didn't cope with the torque/stress much over 300 miles.
- A couple of tubes, most aren't "broken" but are in for repair - some did actually fail (valve breakage, etc.)
- Stainless steel brake cable, replaced with a teflon coated one.
- Set of MKS chain tensioners.
- I had to replace my chainring and cog, utlimately meaning I had to replace my rear wheel due to my old 3/32 17T cog being forcibly stuck on the hub.
- My heart. In a particularly spectacular way, yay!
Do pads count? I guess that's just wear 'n' tear.
I bent a front tire when i took a spill. I wasn't on my fixed though.

Is that the Duplicolor Mirage Ice paint? I messed around with a few of their color-shifting sets. Pretty trick stuff!
Well, whatever it it is, it came out nice!

three eggbeater pedals... 2 in one race:(... and somehow a nice set of gloves ended up in the dryer... anyone have a 3 year old in need of some biking gloves?
buuuuut... i switched to ss in 2008 and have not broken a derailleur since... I'm also broke my record for the longest streak I've ever had without a flat... 6 months and counting with no flats on the commuter OR the mtb. (**knock on wood**)
Wow, I rode and raced all year, and all I broke was:
The silver dustcover on the front of an Ultegra left STI.
The spring on a 1990 600 aero front brake.

A pedal (cheap plastic "track pedal" that came with the bike, lasted about a week and a half)
Mangled my seat in a crash, but was pretty glad I took most of the damage and my bike was ok
A helmet from goin sideways over the bars (see above)
Not much else. I'm sure I ruined some part or other working on my bike without bothering to learn the correct way to do it but whatever it was escapes me right now.
