I am posting this ad to let locals be aware that NYCEWHEELS are selling broken Bionx kits to people and waiting just long enough to ship so that there is over 30 day gap between order and return items and they are keeping a 380 dollar restock fee. Be aware Bert is a thief and he knowingly sends broken items, when I contacted him his responce was that it was my problemb to send to BIONX to get the items repaired. Do buisness with this forign gypsy at your own risk.

I've done business with NYCEwheels myself, and I've generally been quite happy. His shop is understaffed, so they aren't the best at returning calls, but when I've dealt with them in person, they've been highly professional. A couple of times they've replaced broken parts on my bike without question or charging me. My first thought is that whoever posted that craigslist has some personal issue and is just airing his dirty laundry.

Stay away from NYCE Wheels - they're 2-faced punks. They charge more, a LOT more to walk-in customers than internet sales. Ever wonder why?

Just tell 'em the guy that tried to buy ESR750 in late 2005 said so and I can't wait to see 'em closed for good. The good of everyone! Jerks...

It's actually quite common for a bike shop to charge more in their retail store than on the Internet. The main reason is the additional labor required for assembly and tuning. Out of the box, any bike (electric or not) will need to be assembled and tuned by an experienced technician. This can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on how many adjustments to be made. Obviously, this adds additional costs to an assembled bike in a retail store.

A retail store usually provides maintenance and repair services as well, which cost money. Since 99% of online sales won't require these services, the cost will be passed on to the customers who will require them. It costs money to keep technicians on-hand, carry back-up and repair parts, to pay rent and keep the doors open for customers to have access these services. Online customers are on their own!

I don't have any personal experience with NYCEwheels, but you should expect to pay more when you buy a bike in a retail bike shop of any kind...
