I'll try for 1000 this year. I did 651 in 2008 but couldn't mountain bike until February.

I wonder why people associate MTB's and doob'age...I don't even know any bikers who smoke.

I'm sure it was supposed to be an insult of some sort, but it wasn't insulting or funny...just a bit foolish.

Usually the people who start silly "new years resolution" threads like these are 50+ fat roadies.

Thank you for your contribution though...it's 4:20...you'd better go hit it, Sunflower.

The one group mtb ride I've done (with some folks from mtbr) was filled with "safety meetings" or requirements to "set a waypoint" I couldn't believe they were still able to ride with how much they smoked

OVER 9000!!!!!

my goal: 1500 mtn 2000 road, reality: 1000mtn, 1200 road (i feal like i should have more road miles but roads been takin a backseat to mtn these past few months)

oh and i know plenty of people who ride high, done it once myself nothin bad happened i just had like no fear, but on pricinple i'm trying to not do that again, somehow it just seems like a bad idea

Yeah, all the pot heads around here ride BMX. I'd love to put a wink smiley in right now, but thats a fact, not a joke.

I think I'm gona aim for about 600. The fact that I'm hopefully going to uni in the autum cuts it down a bit.

Let's just measure vertical mileage. Add up all the drops to flat that you do this year. keep a running tally, and at the end of the year,.....................It still won't mean anything:thumb:

Ok, first one to 20 miles wins dminor's blindside.

That's a lot of curb drops for my little XC bikes, but what the hell. Count me in!

2008 sucked for me. Did a lot of riding but it was just in one area on a trail that I building so my total dirt miles last year was less than the previous year. This year I am going to shoot for 500, and 1000 total (commuting and greenways).

I'm going to reallllly reach for the stars and try to get 20 miles in this year.Drops over 10' will count extra, as will step-ups (but you only get to measure top of the lip to top of the landing). Extra credit points to be decided by forum consensus.

Ok, first one to 20 miles wins dminor's blindside.Hey, wait just a minute there! But you are all welcome to get into a bidding war at the end of the season ;). It'll have the new semi-open-bath R1 Super, Sunline Boxxer direct-mount stem and Sunline 29" bars (pics to come).

Just because the guy's old doesn't mean you should make fun of the fact that he is blind in one eye.

Just went over to the shopping center and did ten curb drops. 8 inch curbs x ten times = 80 inches
divided by 12 = 6.6 feet. Am I in the lead yet?

How do you weenies have enough time to ride 1,000 miles on the MTB? Between road racing, longboarding, rugby, pole vault and school, I'd be lucky to get 200 in this year. :(

We don't road race, longboard, play rugby, pole vault, or go to school.
