Texas - Not bike related but I got to meet President Bush! PICS!!!!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

As the title states I thought I would share a few pics! I was picked for the presidential support team this time at work and Bush came on the 31st. Here are some of the pics I took! Enjoy!

WARNING: Do no make this thread get moved to P&R. I will do it, and I'm sure the OP would not appriciate it, but I will not have politically charged threads to continue outside of that area.

Purely out of curiosity, I'd like to know what makes "working for President Bush is awesome" on-topic and what makes "working for President Bush would be objectionable" off-topic.
first congrats OP, very cool to have such a candid picture of the President.
meeting the POTUS...whoever it may be is an awesome deal indeed.
I remeber my HS band was going to play for President Bush...a very nice honor indeed. quite a few parents complained and the band didn't get to play...ruined it for everyone.
btw the OP never said he works for the President.
OP what is your job though?

99m6z28- Wow, what a cool experience. I hear he's a pretty cool down-to-earth guy. A real Texan! I'm envious!
How about just deleting the inappropriate posts? I think it would be better to invalidate those who lack tact than to encourage thread crapping.
+1 (I'm not a fan of the W, but It can be be OK for someone to be excited about meeting the guy)
I wasn't thrilled that he is moving to Dallas.....then again...he DOES enjoy cycling...maybe he'll push for more cycling friendly infrastructure here. :)

Yea, but I hear he's a one of those baggy shorts wearing MTB guys:lol: Maybe we can swing him to the Roadie side.
Imagine if he commuted. Who here wouldn't take a motorized escort through the streets and having traffic blocked off at every intersection during rush hour.

In addition to thanking you vets for your service, and especially the active duty guys, I just wanna say that's a dang nice tie the POTUS is wearing. Wonder where he got that?

Right now I am between classes. I teach college students. I probably should have taken leave this week but I hate to waste my leave when I have no plans. I work for the Federal Guberment. But if it makes you feel anybetter the next several weeks I will be very very busy.

You can respect the position of the man when he's voted in. But in a case where he loses 2 times, yet still wins the presidency somehow......that doesn't deserve any respect.

Cool pics!
But I can one up you. I rode with him at his ranch in Crawford a couple years ago(along with 10 other invited people and about 8 Secret Service).
George Bush is one of the nicest people anyone can ever meet. Real down to earth, honest, nice guy. Secret Service guys were really nice guys too.
He's a decent rider too. I think if he had more time to train he would be very competitive in his age group in the Sport Class.
