Rode for the first time this year today.

Miles: 20
Time: 1:38:51
Avg. Speed: 12.1 mph
Max. Speed: 17.7 mph

IT FELT GREAT!!! The first time in a long time when I've felt this way during & after a ride. WOW!!!

It's amazing what happens when a person gets the appropriate amount of sleep & rest he or she needs to function on a daily basis. I credit this to the CPAP machine I use to help me get the sleep & rest I need at night. In 2002 & 2003 I hardly ever felt this way about riding because I didn't have the energy to ride. now that I do look out, should have no problem of reaching & going over my goal of 3,000 miles this year.

3 more days of riding this week: Thursday - club ride, 15 mile ride to where it starts, the ride is about 15 miles long itself. Friday - riding both routes of the Tri-State Trails Tour bike ride to verify route & lenght, about 36 miles total. Saturday - MAR in Des Moines, Ia, about 20 to 25 miles total.

With that distance and speed you'r back on the mountain bike off road then?

Sorry about that, but I have been lucky enough to keep riding over the winter, and it has paid off. Still in training for my big ride in 8 weeks time, and this is what we have been doing on the Tandem, offroad through the winter, at least once a week.

30 miles, time 2hrs 30, average 12mph, max 38mph, 1000ft of climbing, and descending, and after that we are knackered as it is all offroad.

Yes, since my father started using the CPAP he was able to cycle again, too. For as much pissing and moaning he did when he first got it, he seems to enjoy himself a lot more.

Sorry MERTON, I don't quite understand your question. If you're joking, then ok but I didn't get it. If you are not and don't understand what a CPAP machine is ask and I'm sure you'll get more then one answer here.

It's a machine to help those who suffer from sleep apnea. CPAP stands for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure and the machine helps maintain a constant flow of air through the nasal passages.

Thank you khuon for answering that. Sorry I didn't, been out of town & away from a computer for a few days. But yes MERTON, that is what a CPAP machine is & does. I have to use one to sleep at night. For me it has been a GOD send.

Just don't let your dogs eat the CPAP masks. Can make them sick.
