This friday i'm ordering my first road bike. A Specialized Allez Sport Triple. The shop said it should take 2-5 days for it to be ready for pick up.

Kick butt! I just got my first roadie after a year abscence from road riding (a steel '89-ish Paramount) and forgot how much fun it can be on the road. A 40-45mph downhill jogged my memory... The Allez is a nice bike, and I considered buying one if I was gonna buy new.

That was my first race bike (all of a 7 months ago). Fun ride, great for the price, didn't do too well against the Lexus though.

Congrats on the bike purchase, and don't forget to post the pics when you get the chance!

Tomorrows the day. I have a good ammount of money, but i'm borrowing a couple hundred from my mom to make it a little easier. I've chosen the carbon color. I'd like to do some riding around the area, and i'll begin commuting. My route to work is only 1/5th of a mile.

I got the 2003 version of that bike. It has been a great ride. Enjoy!
