I have heard a lot but didn't start watching till recently. Man is it excellent. In comparison to what passes for good network tv these days that show is leaps and bounds ahead. Even x136 would aproove.

I approve of nothing.

Except for disapproval and scorn.

I've seen it once or twice. Seemed like a pretty cool show...

Fascinating show that gives you a glimpse of how things work in Washington.

I didn't watch it initially, since the first episodes failed to impress me, but for some reason I happened to catch that oddball episode with the live debate. THAT was something! Among the very best I've ever seen on TV!

Check out Boston Legal next. It's got a similar weakness to WW (smug monologing) but it is way cut w/ pretty evil humor.

The Josh Wyman character is based on Rahm Emanuel, and Jimmy Smits character is based on Barry Obama.

just sayin'

I am not an early adopted of the band wagon.

Smits? I am only in season 3. I also like Toby's character, always scheming and always about the bigger picture.

I kinda liked Boston Legal for a bit but I like Aaron Sorkin's writing a lot and the smart smug characters. Sports Night is another show I enjoyed a lot which Sorkin did before The west wing.

Not sure who that is?

Ah, makes more sense now. Smits came in shortly before the show was cancelled. I don't know if Ram Emmanuel and Barry Obama were on Sorkin's radar. Emmanuel likely was.

Boston Legal is mostly comic relief.

Winnie cooper was the girlfriend from the Wonder Years (Late 80's - early 90's)

Josh seems too 'nice' to be Emmanuel. Who knows. There was a relatively recent NYT article talking about using Obama as the model for Jimmy Smits:

Toby might seem more Emmanuel-like to me. Was funny to see Toby get ripped in half by T-rexes in Jurrasic Park 2 the other night.

Sports Night was definitely good stuff.
