Posted on CL tonight. Its between this and a Schwin world that I posted earlier. Isnt the LE Tour a better bike with better tubing, etc.? Please let me know your thoughts on what I could or should get this for.

golfer007, I'm continuing from my post related to the Nishiki you were looking at. About the Schwinn, note the hoods on the brake levers and no turkey wings. It has downtube shifters and appears to have full alloy bars. I'll bet it has dual Quick Release axles and a chromoly frame. The decal set looks like a newer late 80s or early 90s Schwinn. If I'm right about the vintage, that's a nice model bike if it fits you.
I wish Scooper would comment on this one.
I have no idea what you can flip that for in your area, or how desirable a tall frame is in your area, but if that's a late LeTour, it's a nice bike. I'm puzzled as to why I don't see LeTour in the ad or LeTour decals on the bike.

OK. He said it was a Le Tour. I will try to find out a little more about it!

It looks like an '87 Le Tour in Scarlet. If so, it has a True Temper 4130 chromoly frame with a Tange Hi-ten fork. Wheels should be 27" x 1" alloy. The frame size appears to be 25".

Catalog photo is HERE (http://www.trfindley.com/flschwinn_1980_1990/1987_08.html) (shown in white).

Specs are HERE (http://www.trfindley.com/flschwinn_1980_1990/1987_17.html).

Nice bike.

Thanks Stan. I really appreciate all the great advice. However, my 2 sellers of the Le Tour and World are not responding and it is feeling as if t hey have found other buyers. What is a man to do. Oh well I figure I will start working here in a couple weeks and have a more appropriate bankroll to get a couple flippers. Also, the market should still be niiiiiice and cheap as the rainy cold seasons continues. :D Es muy perfecto!!
