Anybody know if this is a decent bike? The bike looks good, and the suntour components from my limited knowledge seem to be good...

The poster seems to think this is an early 90s? I would have guessed late 80's...

Thoughts? Should I bite?

$100 is fair depending on your intentions. If your the end user then, by all means, pick it up for $100. If your looking to flip/sell I'd pass.

In the Tampa market, during the season, that would be a $150 bike at most.

Rule 1: If it doesnt fit.....dont buy it.

Based on the color I believe it is a 1987. Schwinn calls the color Winter Mint, the rest of the bicycle world calls it Bianchi Celeste.

1. As a keeper, good deal.

+1 Miamijim: As a flipper, not enough margin to cover unknowns. Would sell around here in ready to ride condition for $125 to $150 max, assuming new tires, cables, bearings, and alloy rims.

+1 If it fits and will be your bike, by all means!

Suntour components is kind of meaningless. Like Shimano, there are a lot of grades of Suntour components, from low end to very high end. But even low end Suntour components are fine at this price point.
