I have a 1999 Cannondale F3000 that came with the Cane Creek WAM Crono wheel set. As per Cane Creek the width of these wheels is 21 mm. I would like to put some street slicks or semi slick tires for some road training.

What would be the narrowist tire I could run? I was thinking of either the Continental Sport Contact in 26 x 1.3 or 26 x 1.6, or the Ritchey Tom Slick tires in the 26 x 1.4 size.

Any recommendations? Let me know.

Thanks!

What size would you reccomend the 26 x 1.3 or the 26 x 1.6?

Thanks!

I'd do the 26x1.6 to be safe.

Wider will be better if it you are planning on riding on wet or slick roads
