Wow! I've had two days to enjoy my new Nokkian spiked tires and last night I *finally* got my Schmidt hub dynamo hooked up. Lotsa light, and not too much drag either.
The spikes make me feel more secure on the residual snow and ice on the roads around here, but it was COLD this morning, foggy and -6 C. Still, there was no mustache freeze going on, so it couldn't have been THAT cold.
It's great to be riding again. And, although I read this Monday that a 22-year old lost her life on my commute (ran over by a truck & trailer rig) I am pretty sure that she wasn't riding aware...i.e. she wasn't expecting them to try to kill her.
Ride safe,
Tom
