Rarely do such things make me smile as today's ride did.
Today was a day like any other. Got 4 hours of sleep because of a botany test this morning, but I still biked in knowing it would wake me up. The real story is on the ride home. I'm about 4 miles into my 6 mile trip when I come upon a traffic jam about half a mile long. At first I rode to the right, but i was in the cement ditch so I went in between the cars in the right lane (this is a 4 lane highway). As I was riding there was a college guy leaned outside his window to talk to the other cars. I said hi as I biked past and he returned the gesture amiably. Then he said "Hey, that's not a bad idea." So I said, "Damn strait." It was a lot of fun passing all of the cars that passed me on my way up the mountain. Just thought I would share the good time. Peace.

It was a good idea to ride in order to wake up after a short night. I hope you did well on the Botany test.

Yeah, I've been passing lines of cars everyday this week, due to the school holiday traffic. It's even more fun when you past a car that looks like it was made to go really fast, and it's just as stuck as the rest of them. So far I've resisted the temptation to yell "Suckers!" as I pass them by, but I'm not far off cracking.

Thanks man, yeah I think I did really well. I swear that bike commuting and not having tv have made me get strait A's (first time in college sadly enough). I'm diagnosed with ADD (attention deficit dissorder), and the thing that helps me pay attention most is a good ride in the morning. All the speed they try to give you doesn't even come close to how much biking 12 miles a day does. And no matter how tired I am, or how much I think I'll probably just colapse while riding, I'm completely awake right whe my legs start moving. Take it easy man. Peace.

It's spelled "straight", not "strait". That kind is a body of water, as in "Straits of Magellan", located between tip of South America and Antarctica.
Just wanted to set you "straight". Good luck on the rest of your classes.

Sorry to hear about your ADD, but it sounds like you have found wonderful therapy. So many times I think modern medicine wants to treat us with drugs when other forms of...let's say more organic...therapy may work as well, or better. I find that commuting to work via bicycle has not only improved my physical health, but has also improved my mental and spiritual well being. Anyway, I'm glad to hear it works for you too! Peace.

Yeah, my spelling is horrible. Thanks for the info though, thanks. Peace.
