I like them. You can carry stuff around in them, you have a good water supply with you. You can also use them for other activitie like camping and walking

For MTBing, my MULE is a must. My frame has only one bottle mount and I can only fit a small bottle in the cage due to the frame geometry. I usually carry water in that bottle to use not for drinking as much as a portable shower device. I also tend to carry more stuff with me when MTBing than when roadbiking. I rarely use a hydration pack for road rides but always use it for mountain bike rides. also, when night-riding, my bottlecage is occupied by my bottle-battery for my lights.

Me and my wife like them just fine. I have not used a H2O bottle in many years.

I have a camelbak lobo, and mule. love them both. I use the lobo on the shorter rides as it only has a 70 oz bladder, and the mule on the longer rides with the 100 oz bladder and more storage space to carry extra stuff. I also use a water bottle, but usually fill it with a sport drink.

I have a Lobo too and do the same thing. If I'm just hitting local trails like the one behind my house then I'll use it instead of the MULE.

I have a camelbak blowfish or something like that. I like it alot, much more convenient than using a water bottle.

Even with the camelbak I still use 1 waterbottle filled with cytomax or some other sport drink.

who DOESN'T like a relatively lightweight efficient way to get lots of water and store gear? I have a lobo and a classic, and i can throw one of the bladders in my framepack or backpack if i need more storage.

I have a Dakine Endo w/ 70 oz reservor. I love the storage, shoulder straps, and the elevated back panels to get some air flow. The bite valve "bites", so I switched reserviors with my CB Mule.

CamelBak Blowfish for me. Great way to carry spares and plenty of water.

I also love not having to wipe all the dirt and muck off the top of a waterbottle before I take a drink. :D
