Spent the weekend at the "In-Laws"...no trails, no stairs, no terrain and only gravel roads for miles.

I got a new Dremmel for Christmas...I got a conical cutter for it so I could make my permanent "full length cable housing for my RD.

Got the new Nevegal's locked and loaded. I figured that they're reasonable enough for me...I went Stick-E on both ends this time:

I don't know why I was expecting the front 2.5" to "look" so much wider than the 2.35" it replaced, but I was sorta bummed to find out that they were just slightly narrower than I'd expected:

Hey, thanks. You've made me realize that bar leans (or what ever they are called) are do-able with clipless (I'd assume you're not riding platforms). The other day I just about died when I tried a lean larger than my tiny normal ones. My foot came unclipped, and I landed with my right foot above my head.

no stairs,

Not sure what you're talking about. I see some in the back ground of one of the pics :)

You gotta' do what you...

Well you know.

I still like my Nevegals on my hardtail. 2.35 rear dh DTC and a 2.5 dh DTC that goes on for some rides. 2.35 regular DTC on the back of the SS. Paired with the 2.6 Stickee Kinetics fronts, they work great around here.

Those housing stops came out good. Did you use the two bits pictured? Also touch up paint?

Yah, I used the two pictured.

Are you saying I "need" touch up paint or did I use touch up paint?

If the former: I'm gonna beat the crap outta this thing anyways...I'm not gonna use touch up paint...I'm not a roadie. Chix-dig-skarz.

If the latter: I have superior mechanical skillz and all that I do is magic.

It's the latter. One of the better jobs i've seen. I agree on the not painting on an off road bike but I've seen some pretty bad hack jobs. On a related note I don't know why frame makers are still using interupted set ups?

Have seen only a few pics of you Ed. You are big boy, unless that's forced perspective. Now I see why you break crap.

Next time dremel a helmet out of a rock. Don't want to hear about you busting your dome.

Actually that was a Photoshop artifact. I was trying to "crop" and I thought I had the "box selector" thingy turned on. I think I had the "smudge" function on b/c I grabbed the corner and dragged diagonally twice before I figured it out.

I didn't even notice the smudge:roflmao2:

I know this is going to sound weak and ghey, but I wear a helmet "every time" I ride trails when I can smack trees or when I put myself into an urban or jumping situation where I can hurt myself.

I know, I know...I'm off the ground in that picture. It's like I have said before...when you come from a skateboarding, 3wheeling, BMX background and are used to falling gracefully...hopping off a little porch like that is squat for dangerous. I never wore a helmet when I sk8'ed. Does that make it right? Prob. not.

I know that doesn't mean anything to the die-hard helmet advocates who say you could fall on the pavement sitting still and end up in a coma...so suck-it, I'm graceful:D

The real helmet advocates wear a brain bucket when they're on the couch watching TV. Never know when that roof is gonna cave in...

Do I see some studded knobbies hanging on the wall? To what do they belong?

Funny you should say that. . .

The other day a friend and I played Hockey with and orange cone in a parking lot. Lots of fun, and it helped with track stand practice when you knocked it over and had to get it up again.

Yah...home made...they're actually hanging on a 1980's rigid Motobecane Hunter.
