Amazon has this highly rated rear blinky for a great price. At this price no excuse not to get one or even better two which allows you to also get free shipping.

Price reduced as of 1/6/09 to $12.09/each so buying two will no longer qualify for free shipping.

Thanks for letting us know.

Been looking at them (I have alot of lights, but I wanted one of these because it's brighter) and the price just makes it too good to pass up.
two for $25? Costs that for one in the LBS.

Nice find thanks for posting!!!! When you have a garage full of bikes like I do, you can never have too many good blinkies around.

The Stealth puts out a bright red light and I like the fact that the unit doesn't look like a big red blinky light hanging off of my bag when I carry it into the office...

SlimAgainSoon-
It's a clear lens with clear bulbs, but the light shines/blinks red. Don't ask me how they do it.
This is a killer deal. I paid $21 EACH for the two I own.
I ordered 2 when it was $17 a pop a few days ago. At this price, it surely is a steal!
Thanks Youthcom for the heads up.

I have one stealth and a few regular, at first I loved the stealth but I've been fighting off my brain trying to tell me that the red one is brighter after all. I am telling my brain that it's an illusion and particularly at night when the plastic stuff holding the LED is invisible anyway that there is no difference.

It's a GREAT light; but, having both, I really the think that the Mars is brighter and more visible. It's also a great price, delivered. 2 for $25 is going to be hard to beat..... If I didn't already have 3, I'd buy 2 more!
I got mine from Performance for 14 bucks apiece, with a price match.
Has anybody tried replacing the red leds with white leds and
sticking the flasher on the front of their bike? ( Is it legal
to have a flashing white light on the front?)

No big secret, the LEDs are putting out red light. All LEDs naturally put out monochromatic light. White LEDs are either a combination of red, green and blue LEDs, or (more commonly) are actually UV LEDs which shine into organic phosphors which in turn glow in a wide spectrum of light. It takes a special effort to make LEDs that are not just one color.

I think it may be illegal in some areas, but I think it's OK in many areas. In any case, a heck of a lot of us ride with blinking LEDs up front.
In fact, many if not most white front LED lights have blinking modes as shipped.

On a regular superflash, the main LED is still covered by clear plastic. Only the two secondary ones at the bottom are behind red plastic. If anything, the stealth one is probably brighter at the bottom because the LEDs are shining through clear plastic, not colored.

These work very well with nickel metal hydride rechargeable AAA cells. I have one of the original red PBSF's on my helmet and I bought two of the Stealths when they were around $17 to mount on the rack and hang from my pannier. This $12.xx price is a great deal!

I paid $30 for mine at my LBS :( . The regular red and white ones were $24, which is what I see them go for everywhere but online. Didn't know they were charging me more for the stealth version until I got home.
I might need to pick an extra 1 or 2 of these up at this price.

Thanks for the heads up OP. I have 3 already and just got 3 more. It was a pain swapping them between 3 bikes even though I bought 3 extra mounts..... now it will be even easier.
ditto...was just about to pick up two of these for a lot more on my next trip to my overpriced and undermotivated LBS

Thank you for the heads up.
Bought two of them this morning. I have Amazon prime. They'll be here in 2 days for $25 total. Big time score.
I bought this light when I started commuting in May. I bought the version with the red lens. I can't say enough about this light. I love it. I can not recall replacing the batteries yet. People always see me. It clips on to my back belt or my bag or my back pack. Highly recommended!

Hey, they have dropped down in price to $12.09 from $12.73. Now you gotta buy more than two to get the free shipping. My two will be on the bike this Friday.

3 for $36.27, free shipping! Thanks for the post.I bought three, shoulda bought 4. I keep thinking I'll get a dyno light for the rear of my commuter, so I got one for kid number one, one for kid number 2 and one for the racing bike. I saw one of these from the side the other day and it was really bright. The guy had it blocked from the rear so it was pretty pointless unless you were in a semi.

Heh.... even cheaper now at $12.09 per. But at that price, you don't get free shipping when you buy two!

About that price drop,
Amazon has a very smart pricing system.
I wouldn't doubt that the software was able to recognize a sharp uptick in sales on this item, and noticed that several people were buying at least two in order to gain the free shipping. The software lowered the price to just the right amount where a shopper would have to buy 3 lights or a 3rd product to get the free shipping (which is a very enticing offer), thus earning Amazon 20-30% more than you were willing to pay at the beginning of this thread.
