A little bored on the night shift (as usual) so here are a couple of vids of my band taken from a gig in december. It's progressive rock with some jazz fusion element. Instrument trio with lots of notes, basically. These two have more fusion than prog though. I'm the gum-chewing, bored-looking bear on bass. I like to say it's my stage look but it's more like haven't-slept-in-48-hours-after-the-night-shift look. At least I didn't have to go to work after the gig this time. We plan on recording *something" this month but have no other plan except the odd gig. Besides, it ain't exactly popular music. It's more an excuse to meet every week and have fun.

Sound Pinata (http://www.borealphoto.com/gallery/6875245_JEMMP) - Once the first vid is over, you can just click on the ">" at the top of the page or hit the right arrow key for the next vid instead of coming back to the gallery page.

Enjoy! (hopefully :innocent: )

The sound is good but hehe it's really? Rock and jazz? I don't know how the taste is. And how about the mix between deathmetal and jazz. Nowaday people can combine everything together.

Wow! A comment!

Those two tunes just like that would be classified as jazz fusion but we're not jazz players in any way so it's just rock. Here's something (exclusive, no less :D we're not done editing, we being me  ) that's definitely rock, progressive rock as they say: SOS (http://borealph.googlepages.com/SOS2009-03-24.mp3).

The idea behind the name Sound Pinata is that you never know what will come out. It was Meat Pinata at first but kids hitting a dead animal until the guts spill on the kids didn't suit well with the others. :o
