Go back to work tomorrow after a 10 day break from work over Christmas and new year. Yesterday was cold so no Yard work got done but I did check over the Bike drawer to see if any of the cycling clothes are up for replacement. Luckily none of it does but surprised at how I still have some socks in their original packaging. Can't even remember buying them (Secret Santa?)

Then I checked the bike over and got it ready for today's ride. In fact I checked two bikes as if the weather is that bad- I did the MTB aswell. Don't mind cold riding but Black ice on the roads is not good.

So up at 7am- coffee and down to the shed to get the helmet, shoes and gloves inside for a warm up. You can St*ff the ride today. Where did all that white stuff come from? No- Not snow--Frost. The whole garden looks as though it has snowed and quick check on the temp and it is 20F.

I have turned into a woose. The bikes are back on the rack and I will be staying indoors today.

So all the good intentions in the world and When the mates come round at 9 for a ride- I won't be answering the door. Let them stay out there till they realise how cold it really is.

If there's anything worse than having to return to work after a long break (for me, it's been 4 weeks....), it's an icy street too slippery to ride. Sorry, stap.... hope you find something fun do to indoors today.

The mates did turn up with their mountain bikes and we went into the garden for about 10 minutes. I was nicely wrapped up in a warm coat etc---Then sorry- got to get riding we're getting cold.
