Electric Bikes - Removing cells from Ping battery to drop voltage

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hey there everyone! I was hoping someone could give me a little guidance on how I could turn my 36v lifepo4 into a 24v. I am leaving my upright with the golden motor rear hub for a tadpole trike with mid drive system. The mid drive system will only handle 29 volts. If I could, I would just sell off my bike and battery, but who would want a used battery? It's only been through about 50 cycles, but I can't prove it, so I think this is a better choice. Can anyone help?

Gimme some specs on it like AH and weight, I may buy it from you.

It's a 20ah battery and weighs about 15 pounds. the dimensions are roughly 10.25 x 5.5 x 4 inches.

Darn, I was hoping for a 10AH, I already have a 20AH. I'd like to have a lighter battery for milk runs.
I'd still try to sell it intact if it were me. If others with more experience say it's possible to lower the voltage with little or no risk then fair enough, if there is risk and the pack is compromised you'll end up with zero.
you can lower the voltage by removing cells, but you would need to pick up a new 24v bms from ping

Hey, Karma! It's been a while. That is what I plan to do.
Your controller is great btw.
What happen to your site and all your videos?

oh, Karma, I broke a spoke on my golden motor setup. Where would you suggest getting a replacement spoke and nipple from? They are supposed to me 12 gauge spokes, right? on my wrench I use the 13 gauge slot. 12 is to big.
you can order them from ebikes.ca or just do what i did and go to the bike store and use the standard gauge spoke
have them cut and Threaded. the spokes on the golden motor are brittle.
moved and the cable modem in my place has port blocking so the servers are packed away :( im working on it.
i had to Manny vids on youtube i just wanted to start from scratch.
Are you interested in selling the whole thing still? If you are whats the rim size, and estimated top speed?

Yes, I think that's what I'm going to do. The rims are 26 inch, top speed for me without pedaling has been around 18-20mph without pedaling. I weigh about 180 and usually have a backpack with up to 20 pounds in it. The controller I have on it was modified by karma. It will accept 48volts, so you can add a 12 volt battery and prolly get something like 30-35mph out of it. Here's a pic:

Let me know asap if you are interested. I just got a 10% off coupon from ebay that's only good for 3 days, If I can sell this I will be buying a new battery from ping.
Well the main question for me would be how much you want to sell it for. By the looks of the picture it'll be quite a bit more than out schools $320 budget.

I'm willing to take offers, but that's not enough. I have put about $1200 into this bike and I have only had it about 6 months.
