I hope this works, but let's see if I can do a poor imitation of the Historian. I rode 60 miles today, stopping in the middle to meet my Dad to watch football. It was a "Chamber of Commerce" day, about 75 and sunny, light breeze. The route was spectacular, too, including my regular commute along the Indian River, through downtown Cocoa, and stretching into Vierra. Some of you Northern folks might enjoy the green scenes, palm trees, and the people in short pants.
My street, which goes on like this for 15 glorious miles. I commute them all almost every day, rolling along the banks of the Indian River, with just as many walkers, bikers, and dogs as cars:

A neighbor's coquina rock. These are formed as tides leave saltwater in low spots on rocks on the shore. Evaporation raises the salt content, and the salty solution bores these round holes down through the rocks. These rocks are useful for mooring blimps, and holding mailboxes:rolleyes::

Reflection of a skinny Fred(although still a clyde at 215):

"Flagler's Folly", a stretch of railroad which once went from New England to Key West. He intended to bring coal to Key West to refuel steam ships. The railroad also brought rich New Englanders to Fla., to stay in Flagler's hotels, like the one that became Flagler College. A lot of freight still rides these rails--to, from, and between ports:

The sidewalks in Viera are amazing! I passed a golf cart, and neither of us left the concrete. It's 20 feet to the road, not a side street or driveway in sight (gated communities). I'm not too proud to choose it over the busy 2-lane road nearby, sans shoulder:

Palm trees make decent bike racks. Time to head in for football and beer with Chewy Sr.:

Action shot! Chewy Sr. on the ride back to Dad's house:

How does the chicken cross the road? In Vierra, take the sidewalk underpass:

These guys flew here for the winter. Good call!:
