Winter Cycling - Am I the only one who still "feels" like its summer?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I went for a ride the other day to check out some biking trails. I was downright SHOCKED when I got there and there was a foot of snow on the ground.
I don't know why, but when I picture myself outside I see myself in warm weather and sunshine. I've been like this for the last few weeks.
Anyone else having trouble adjusting to winter this year?

I usually just ignore the winter as much as possible, I see no reason to let a little snow and cold keep me from having fun

its been winter for a long time here. its hard to imagine outside of my house changing from a freezer to an oven. i wanna hit the trails and zip around on my road bike soooooo bad.
but hey the nice thing is if it gets anywhere above 30 degrees it feels like summer to me
We've had a strange year this year ... winter didn't hit till early December, instead of late October. November was phenomenally warm and lovely. So, yes, I'm having a bit of difficulty with the idea that winter actually came. Deep down I was hoping the Canadian prairies would completely skip winter this year ... I was so hoping for a brown Christmas.

Since Christmas , I've been an Under Armour Convert.. I actually went out when it was 34 degrees. As soon As I got my speed up , I was comfortable.

Trouble? Mentally I fight it every year, I'm in permanent denial about the fact that I'd rather live in a warm climate. Physically the adjustment seems to happens all by itself.
If you want to be out there, and I do, you adjust by doing.
